A Lazy Girl's Guide To Beauty.

As an assignment for my photography subject, I was asked to do an editorial shoot with the topic "A Lazy Girl's Guide To Beauty". Editorial photography is what is published in newspapers and magazines usually to illustrate an article written by staff or a contributing writer.

When i got this topic, the first question that went through my mind was " how on earth am I going to interpret this? ". So thereafter I Google'd  "A Lazy Girl's Guide To Beauty" hoping to get some sort of inspiration or idea. I found something but, nothing that really caught my eye. I sat and thought to myself, most females don't like the feeling of having facial hair and then asked myself "how do they remove this facial hair" I ended up with answers such as waxing, threading, spa's, salon's etc. I then asked "what would a super lazy girl do if she had facial hair that she wanted to remove? " and ended up with the answer A SHAVER and SHAVING FOAM, and that is how I interpreted this topic.

I used my beautiful friend Melissa as my model as she is one with a crazy personality and a model who worked out well for this shoot. I styled her and did her make-up as well. I basically put the shoot together on my own as I do with most of my assignment shoots.

Bandana Swag.

A Bandana is one of those things that is useful for a thousand things but nothing specific. However in this case as seen, a bandana is usually worn as a 'headband'.A bandana is often made of cotton and are sold in hundreds of colour variations for dirt cheap. I got my black bandana at a flea market store in Cape Town for R10.The most common print is paisely but there are various other various prints incorporated into different bandanas. Below are pictures of some celebrites swagging their bandanas and pictures of myself wearing my blood red blazer, skinny jeans from Mr.Price,Sneaker looking wedge from Zoom & one of my favourite bags from China Town & ofcause my black bandana. So get out there & rock your bandana. You dont need expensive clothing to put a swaggering outfit together.

Winter School.

On the 11,12 & 13 July I attended winter school at Prestige Academy to help me make my decision in what I want to study next year. The three day course entailed Graphic Print Design/Web Design as I was not sure if graphic design is what I want to study next year, however this course helped me make my decision and I now know what I want to do with my future. Not only did I learn something new but I also got to meet new people. I really enjoyed my time at winter school & would definitely encourage people to attend this winter school to see what the specific course they want to do is about if they are unsure. It is an amazing experience. Below is what I wore on the last day of winter school. Teal,Mustard & Black.
